I'm thinking that if a person has a lot of time and just can't get the look and features he wants on a Facebook site, Ning would be a very good thing. I liked the teacherlingo.com site and might actually check it out more in depth for things I can use this year.
I liked this one too. I even set up a Ning, but never got back to it after that. It seems that a lot of NEAT stuff taught in these courses is great in the summer, but I'm afraid few teachers actually have time to keep up with it once school starts.
